    TrailerWatch: Spider-Man ~ No Way Home

    The last thing people wanted with Spider-Man was yet another origin movie. Sam Raimi had given birth to his incarnation in 2002, and followed up with instalments in 2004 and 2007. Then came the  Marc Webb versions, Sony rebooting the character in 2012, and following up with a sequel in 2014. The first two Raimi movies are great, and the third has great moments, but tries to do too much. I wasn’t a fan of the Webb versions, and the second movie was unwittingly funny.     JJ’s Wonky World Builds: Number 2

    It always astonishes me when people defend these world-builds. I understand the appreciation of any art is subjective. We don’t always like the same thing. There are movies I hate that others adore, and vice versa. And I’m truly fine with all that. The difference here is that JJ’s world building is just dumb. It’ll fool you with its sweet visuals if you let it. JJ’s awesome at that. But if you pause to offer any scrutiny, it doesn’t take much to realise how moronic his storytelling is.
